This is the 2nd generation version of this camera. It is an upgraded Wireless wifi camera compared with the 1st generation. With new functions, and different resolutions for your monitors requirements.

How I Came To Use The Clever Dog Camera
As I mentioned before, if you read my previous blog, if not you can go read it here, the reason I started using this camera was because of one of my rescue dogs, was having issues with settling in, especially when I went out to work, it resulted in my contacting a behaviourist who suggested as I worked downstairs from home to try a 2 way baby monitor to talk to him, this had almost an immediate success, but a couple of years later when I had moved to a different area, and got another rescue with similar issues, the baby monitor wouldn’t work as i was not in range for it, which started me on a search to find an alternative.
Introducing The Clever Dog Camera
After doing some research and being recommend a couple of different things which involved leaving my laptop on for the dogs while I was out or signing up to expensive monthly subscriptions, I came across this camera.
It had great reviews, and looked to do everything I wanted it to do, and it was also really inexpensive, compared to others I looked at that seemed to do exactly the same.
So I decided to purchase one from the place I am sharing this information with you.
It came next day delivery which was great as I was a day off from work, and was really easy to set up.
I have an android phone so just typed ‘Clever Dog’ into the play store the app is free to download, you just literally type your WiFi settings into it and sync with the camera.
The next day I set it up and headed off to work, the great thing about this camera is it sends you messages to alert you when there is any activities so you do not have to literally spend your time staring at it and waiting.
My Review
This is a great camera, and for the price I cannot fault it, it has a wide angled view so depending where you situate it and the size of the room you can pretty much get a view of the whole area.
I love that I can watch what’s going on in real time, or look at still frames, and the fact it alerts you to movement is great as if you are working you can quickly check all is Ok, when you are notified.
It has night vision on it too, so if you go out or are in bed and your dogs are in another room, you can still monitor them.
The option to talk to them I found is good too as that is what helped my dog, when I could see him start to stress hearing my voice seemed to help, and resolved the problems we were having.
The fact that you can buy multiple cameras for other rooms, and run them all through the one app is also a bonus.
This would also make a great general security camera for your home and a child monitor too.
You can also add an SD card to record, or connect to the cloud storage to be honest I have never had to use this but if I was going to be out for longer lengths of time or was using it more for a security camera for the home and wanted to keep a recording of the footage I think the option to do so is great.
Apart from sorting out the issues I was having with my dogs that had separation anxiety I also found out that my little old dog who had for years had got me lifting her up onto the sofa, leading me to believe she couldn’t do it herself, could miraculously get on all by herself when I wasn’t there, and I have photographic evidence to prove it!
Final Thoughts
As someone who actually uses this camera I cannot fault it and cannot give any negative reviews for it, I have never had any problems with it and it definitely does what I need it to do, and was very easy to set up.
I think you would find it hard to beat, especially on price. The 2nd generation Clever Dog Camera has more features, and is also available in other colours apart from the standard grey.
